Andrew's Cruise in Review:
Day 1: Miami, Florida
I arrived on board ship and found my cabin. I was immediately drawn to the balcony. I'll never cruise without a balcony again, unless the price is to good to be
true. After the muster drill, I headed for the Lido deck for a few cocktails at the Bon Voyage Party. Dinner was excellent. That's where I first made eyes with Liz.
After dinner, I ran into Liz by the Casino and we soon became friends. After a bottle of Champagne on my balcony, we went to the 70's disco to finish off the night.
Day 2: Fun Day at Sea
I laid out in the sun, drank some booze, and just enjoyed the perfect weather (85 degrees and sunny).
Day 3: Cozumel, Mexico
After eating breakfast, we headed off ship to meet our group for the Dolphin Encounter. We were able to touch the dolphins, then we received a kiss from them and
danced with the, and finally we got to hold on to their fins and get a ride through the water. It was an experience of a lifetime. After swimming with the dolphins,
we walked around town, and ended up at Carlos N Charlie's for a few drinks.
Day 4: Fun Day at Sea
I won $100 at Blackjack in the Casino.
Day 5: Georgetown, Grand Cayman
After eating breakfast, we headed for the tender that took us to the pier. We met up with our shore excursion group and headed off to our adventure. There were 15
of us in our group and we had 2 guides. We were divided into groups of 3 people per boat. I was the Captain of our boat. The ride out was somewhat bumpy, but it was
fun. We were zooming by the big boats full of tourists wishing they were us. Our first stop was a couple hundred yards from the Stingray City sandbar. Before
swimming with the Stingrays, we went snorkeling on the nearby reef. There were a lot of fish, coral, and our guide even fed an octopus. After snorkeling, we went
over to the sandbar for our encounter with the Stingrays. This was one of the coolest things I have ever done. It was awesome. Watch the video below to see what I
mean. After motoring back in our boats, we headed to a nice sea side bar/restaurant for a few beers, and lunch. To say the least, it was a great day.
Day 6: Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Again after eating breakfast, we headed off the ship into Ocho Rios. We got on board a bus and headed for the Dunn's River Falls. We spent an hour and a half
exploring the falls and beach. After our time at the falls, we headed back into town to do some shopping. That evening we had a wonderful dinner in the Sun King
Restaurant.
Day 7: Fun Day at Sea
On the last day on board the Freedom, I didn't do much of anything but relax by the pool bar, sitting in the shade with a few buckets of beers. That night, I won
another $50 in the casino.
